Public Transportation

People complain about the public transportation options in Chicago, or more accurately about the frequent "doomsday" scenarios. Although those scenarios are on hold. However, I have never seen anything like the public transport options of South Florida. I guess people just must not use public transportation. However, they don't have a good connection of three plus major cities (each with international airports) that are less than an hour away. What is the deal? Maybe it's not as bad if you're from there and you know the what shortcuts exist. As a tourist, however, it's AWFUL. I'm annoyed and frustrated. However, I am confident I will find a way. There's always hitchhiking. Kidding. Kind of.
