Is there a difference between cold, colder, coldest? Single digits, zero, minus degrees? I really am not sure there is a difference. Yes, wind makes a difference. But really-- I don't buy a significant difference. The cold, however, I really thinks makes Chicagoans tough. Do you know what it takes to trudge out to wait for the bus on a Monday morning when you're tired and it's below zero? A lot more than it takes to go to your car when its 60 degrees. Chicagoans have that edge. On a given day we trudge through snow, fight negative 30 windchills, and in six months, it will be hotter than should be legal. Tough.
One of the many reasons I'd take a Chicagoan over any other...
